‘I don’t care how often you take a nosedive, what matters is how you get back on your feet’

Our second collaboration with Dutch director, Anne van Helvoort  (who previously directed “Tussen de Schijnwerpers” – 2017) is a documentary about failure and the determination to get back up again.

De Boontjes premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2020 and is a close-up on the lives of “Rugged Rotterdam Rodney” who has the young Mitchel reintegrated in his coffee bar Heilige Boontjes – a place that prepares ex-delinquents and youngsters who have trouble finding a job in the labour market.
